The Integra project has been set up to tackle barriers to employability experienced by disadvantaged people in the Leeds community. Key aspects include creating local networks and partnerships to maximise grassroots expertise and outrreach; developing training for staff and volunteers to enable them to work with disadvantaged groups; and integral advice and guidance for all trainees. The programmes offer a holistic approach to empowering people at risk of marginalisation in society, integrating them into a learning culture and employability.
