ALL DIGITAL Week

The ALL DIGITAL Week annually takes place during the last week of March and encourages and supports people to use the internet with events and trainings. In 20 European countries the ALL DIGITAL Week will motivate people to take active steps towards understanding and benefiting from the digital transformation.

ALL DIGITAL Week is a campaign that was created and established in 2011 under the name Get Online Week by the European network ALL DIGITAL and the EU Commissioner for the Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes in order to counteract the digital divide.

The ALL DIGITAL Week will give people tools and approaches to enhance their digital skills. The campaign will:

  • Build trust in technology by developing critical thinking and media literacy (including being aware of and combating fake news, hate speech and social media abuse).
  • Develop a lifelong learning approach to enhancing digital skills in an ever changing and increasingly digital-oriented economy.

Role of the Digital Opportunities Foundation

The Digital Opportunities Foundation is national partner of ALL DIGITAL and organises the ALL DIGITAL Week in Germany. Every year the foundation organises events, workshops and trainings designed to interest different target groups and individually introduce them to the internet. Furthermore, the foundation invites public internet access points across Germany to take part in the All Digital Week with their own initiatives.
