ICT4 the Elderly
The aim of the European project "ICT 4 the Elderly" is to develop an international learning offer for people between 55 and 75 years of age. In a blended learning course, they expand their basic skills in using digital devices and learn about other opportunities the Internet have. As ambassadors of the project, they will then help other adults and seniors around them to expand their digital skills.
Building on an analyse of best practices in OER, a joint learning concept with learning and teaching material for the qualification of older people will be developed. Starting in spring 2020, interested senior citizens from the participating partner countries will test the learning opportunities on five days in Malta and another five days in Germany. Following the test phase, policy recommendations will be developed for the further use of the project results.
The project has a duration of 27 months and is coordinated by Malta Communication Authority (Malta). The partners involved are the Digital Opportunities Foundation, the Foundation Ynternet.org (Switzerland), ALL DIGITAL (Belgium) and Simbioza (Slovenia). The European project "ICT4Seniors" started in September 2018 and is funded by the European Commission in the Erasmus+ programme.
Role of the Digital Opportunities Foundation
