Die Europäische Kommission bittet bis 15.2.2003 um Sellungnahmen zu einem Arbeitspapier der Kommissionsdienststellen zum Thema digitale Konvergenz:
"Public consultation and public hearing on a report on remaining barriers to the achievement of widespread access to new services and applications of the Information Society through open platforms in digital television and 3G mobile communications"
A public consultation has been launched on a report on remaining barriers to the achievement of widespread access to new services and applications of the Information Society through open platforms in digital television and 3G mobile communications that was prepared in response to requests from the Barcelona Summit and the Seville Council.
Comments may be sent electronically to infso-A1@cec.eu.int (please put "open platforms" in the subject line) by 15 February 2003. Comments may also be sent by post to the attention of Unit A1, DG Information Society, European Commission, 200 rue de la Loi, B-1049 Brussels. Comments will be published unless there is a request to the contrary.
The Commission services will hold a public hearing on the document in Brussels currently scheduled for 4 February 2003. To register for the hearing, send an e-mail to infso-A1@cec.eu.int with details of participants, i.e., names, company or organisation name, address, telephone number and e-mail addresses for reply.
