Landesanstalt für Medien Nordrhein-Westfalen (LfM)

Die Landesanstalt für Medien Nordrhein-Westfalen (LfM) beaufsichtigt die in dem Bundesland ansässigen privaten TV- und Hörfunkprogramme. Neben dieser Kontrollfunktion gehört auch die Förderung von Medienkompetenzen zu den Aufgaben der Anstalt. Die LfM verfolgt dabei das Ziel, dass alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger Medien gleichermaßen kritisch, selbstbestimmt und kreativ nutzen können.

 

Zu diesem Zweck stellt Ihnen die Landesanstalt für Medien eine Vielzahl an Veröffentlichungen und Materialien zur Verfügung. In den Magazinen „Digitaltrends LfM“ und „Digitalkompakt LfM“ können Sie sich über neue Entwicklungen der Digitalisierung informieren. Außerdem ist es möglich, die aktuelle Ausgabe des Medienkompetenzberichts zu bestellen. Und falls Sie im Internet auf jugendgefährdende, pornografische oder extremistische Inhalte stoßen, können Sie diese mit Hilfe eines Online-Beschwerdeformulars melden.

KidsRights Index 2018 now available - improved methodology!

The KidsRights Index boasts improved methodology in 2018, specifically in the domain of Education, which traditionally suffered from data gaps within various key indicators. From 2018 onwards the Education domain is based on the indicator ‘Expected years of schooling’. Moreover, 17 countries that previously were not included in the KidsRights Index due to a lack of data were added to the Index in 2018, including the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Fiji, San Marino and Sudan.

Kids Online Uruguay seeks to offer a better understanding of how children access and use the internet, what skills they have, what risks and opportunities they face online, and how they navigate the digital ecosystem. The research involved a national survey with 948 children aged 9 to 17 and their parents; representative of locations of 5,000 or more inhabitants in Uruguay.

Die Diskussionstage des UN-Ausschusses für die Rechte des Kindes (Days of General Discussion of the Committee on the Rights of the Child - DGD) sollen ein tieferes Verständnis für spezifische Artikel oder Themen der Konvention über die Rechte des Kindes fördern, indem sie ein Forum für Diskussionen zwischen Politikern, Praktikern und Forschern mit dem Kinderrechts-Ausschuss bieten.

Am 12. September 2014 widmete der Ausschuss seinen 21. Allgemeinen Diskussionstag dem Thema "Digitale Medien und Kinderrechte". Ziel war es, die Auswirkungen des Engagements von Kindern in sozialen Medien und Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) zu analysieren, um die Auswirkungen und die Rolle der Kinderrechte in diesem Bereich besser zu verstehen und rechtebasierte Strategien zu entwickeln, um die Chancen der digitalen Welt für Kinder zu maximieren und sie gleichzeitig vor Risiken und möglichen Schäden zu schützen.

This is a summary of a longer study called Towards a Global Indicator on Unidentified Victims in Child Sexual Exploitation Material, published by ECPAT International and INTERPOL in February 2018.

This report presents the results of a two-part analysis of the multi-country data set contained in the International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) Database housed at INTERPOL and of consultations with law enforcement personnel in relation to the identification of victims and offenders pictured in Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) seized by law enforcement around the world.
