Aim of the project
Digitisation plays a large role in the development of rural communities. The aim of the pilot project is the deve lopment and roll-out of a concept to improve the quality of life and promote village life based on the utilisation of digital services and applications in the village Bremke, part of the municipality of Gleichen in southern Lower Saxony. In a co-creation process with the vibrant village community the concept will be developed and tested in several iterations. Subsequently, the concept will be transferred to other districts in the municipality and other rural regions. The objective is to further the rea diness to participate in digital communication and to strengthen social and neighbourly village life.
The Digital Opportunities Foundation coordinates the project and, together with Haus kirchlicher Dienste and the local initiatives and stakeholders, implements round tables in Bremke as well as the co-creation process to develop digital solutions for infrastructural challenges.
