The QueeResilience workshop concepts provide practical materials for working with young people on topics such as digital minority stress, hate speech, cyberbullying, disinformation, safe spaces, community management, digital wellbeing, and Queer Joy. The modules combine digital media education with social and emotional competences and support young people in navigating digital spaces critically, safely, and self-determinedly. Through interactive methods, reflection exercises, and creative approaches, the workshops foster resilience, media literacy, empathy, and confidence in dealing with discrimination and stress in digital environments.

The workshops are divided into three thematic areas:

A: Risks and Stressors
B: Potentials and Resources
C: Digital Engagement

The workshop concepts are particularly suitable for non-formal youth work, youth social work, and media education, but can also be used as teaching materials in schools. The concepts are explicitly intended as flexible suggestions and sources of inspiration that can and should be adapted depending on the context, target group, and available time frame.

The materials were developed by the QueeResilience project consortium. The workshops were piloted with (queer) youth groups and school classes, and the experiences and feedback gathered during the pilot sessions were incorporated into the final versions of the concepts. The German pilot sessions were conducted with the support of the queer youth center gut so. in Mannheim, as well as media educator Marie-Therese Stedry from Waldspatz Medien.
