The Anti-Rumour lesson modules can be used by educators and youth work professionals in non-formal and formal educational contexts. They are divided into 4 thematic lessons, with each lesson comprising four modules with several activities. Each module has a maximum duration of 45 minutes. The modules can be freely combined, but it is also possible to work through entire lessons chronologically.
These lessons are designed for participants to actively implement and test strategies to identify fake news, including real-life case studies, online fact-checking tools, AI-generated content, group activities, etc.

Lesson 3: Disinformation and its key characteristics:
The backbone of conspiracy narratives and fake news is often the “us vs. them” dichotomy. Conspiracy theorists often see the world divided into “us”, usually portrayed as the “pure people”, and “them”, the corrupt elite, the establishment that mysteriously controls everything. This lesson focuses on this element of conspiracy narratives and aims to counteract this phenomenon by creating awareness of the mechanisms behind it.

Lesson 4: Media literacy - protection and empowerment:
This lesson aims to teach strategies for recognizing trustworthy news media, vetting sources, and identifying AI-created content. Among other things, the aim is to teach participants how to develop from passive media consumers to responsible, active media producers.
