Project

The handout, which was developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ project AMEDY (Active Media Education for Disabled Youth), provides tips in the form of concrete action and support strategies for practice on how to accompany children and young people with intellectual disabilities in their use of digital media.

The handout includes strategies for educators, parents/guardians and the young people themselves.

The strategies were developed using the Design Thinking method in co-design workshops with educators from the three partner countries Belgium, Greece and Germany.

Read more about the needs of young people with intellectual disabilities, helpful media literacy models and the background of the methodology in our detailed paper.
