Aim of the project

The objective of the project Trans e-facilitator was the development of a curriculum for operators of public internet access points and mediators of media literacy. The project had two main goals: On one hand, the curriculum for mediators of digital literacy would be implemented in each partner country. Thus, a training opportunity for e-facilitators (mediators of media literacy) would be created which is at once uniform on a national level and also complies with the needs for knowledge and competencies of the e-facilitators. The curriculum regards the various fields of action of e-facilitators who often have to be prepared to cater to different levels, speeds and content of learning. On the other hand, the project wanted to call attention to the profession of e-facilitators and establish it as a job profile in Germany. The curriculum is available via the project’s webpage.

As a project partner, the Digital Opportunities Foundation coordinated the adaptation of the curriculum for e-facilitators for Latvia, Portugal and Germany, developed the project’s webpage and monitored the distribution of the project content. The foundation also implemented the testing of the curriculum in Germany from February to July 2014.
